In my twenties, I lived a fairly loose existence. I pinballed from pub to club to house party at weekends, fuelled by drinks and drugs. I’d behave during the week, but would regularly leave the house on Friday morning for work and not return home until Sunday. The freedom was a drug in itself.was a distant land inhabited by grown-ups and sensible people who could budget. Whenever I thought about it, which wasn’t often, I assumed it would be a pure era of slow-paced innocence.
