Hundreds of university staff on precarious contracts have been dismissed by their employers in a drive to cut costs due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The bottom line continues! This after contacting the campus continually to ask if I can assist as researcher and Psychologist techie . As a unionist I'm not surprised, these facilities should be dealing directly with front-line vaccines and safeguarding the jobs for the future.
Maybe this suggests most university staff are surplus to requirements? Still, not the only people going out of work because of this unjustified lockdown.
