Global survey finds 74% also want climate crises and protecting nature prioritised over jobs and profit

Among G20 nations, 73% of people believed human activity had pushed the Earth close to tipping points. Awareness of these risks was markedly higher in the less wealthy countries – Indonesia , Turkey , Brazil , Mexico and South Africa – than the richest countries – United States , Japan , Great Britain and Australia .

Great! So it seems to be all about convincing gvts of the majority opinion of the governed — but we must not forget that corporations (aka 'the economy') & their lobby are on very long levers that unhinge whole political parties ... lobbycracy corruption oligarchy cronyism

Of course we are, and what are the politicians going to do about it? Nothing, as people are not ready to give up their spending habits, their comfort, SUV’s, cheap petrol and consumer capitalism in order to save humanity. Earth will burp, regenerate and continue without us.
