Huge Netflix show 'to end' after Hollywood actor quits

The Witcher is reportedly coming to an end after season 5 (Picture: Netflix / BACKGRID) The Witcher is reportedly ending after season five following Henry Cavill’s Netflix departure. Last October, it was announced that the actor had quit the Netflix fantasy series, with Liam Hemsworth replacing him as Geralt of Rivia from season four.

When Henry’s departure from The Witcher was revealed, some thought that the decision was made so that he could return to the DC Extended Universe as Clark Kent, aka Superman. However, it was then revealed that his days playing the caped superhero are also believed to be over. The latest season marks Henry’s final appearance on the show (Picture: Getty) Sharing the news in an Instagram post, Henry explained: ‘I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone.
