.elliotackerman: How NATO pilots could help defend Ukraine

should expand that effort. They should help Zelensky take it one step further by working with his defense ministry to create a program within their respective air forces that would grant pilots from NATO countries leaves of absence to fly in Ukraine.Precedence abounds for such a program, not only in the Second World War but also the First, in which the Lafayette Escadrille, a squadron of American pilots flew for years in France before the U.S. formally entered the war in 1917.

Provoking a nuclear-armed Russia and a seemingly unhinged Putin is certainly a concern worth weighing, but a flight exchange program plays Russia’s strategy of “little green men” back at it, except in this case it will be the “little blue men” of the free world who will take to the skies over Ukraine.

Although Putin has failed to meet many of his initial military objectives, one thing he has succeeded at is surprising the world through his appetite for sheer naked aggression. It’s time to surprise him back, and a program of volunteer pilots isn’t something Putin is expecting. He has embarked upon a war of choice by invading Ukraine. His war of choice has presented NATO and the free world with a

. And, as they say, necessity is the mother of invention. It’s time for us to get inventive. We’ve done it before.

elliotackerman Wasn't NATO the War Criminals!!

elliotackerman

elliotackerman Reminds me of my great uncle, a pilot whose Ukrainian parents emigrated to the U.S. He volunteered with the Royal Canadian Air Force RCAF_ARC to deliver B17 bombers to the European theater (before America entered WWII.)

elliotackerman Why don’t they do it now?!!!

elliotackerman Idon't know how they will be able to defend Ukraine. I know how they can prevent the World War 3: don't trespass

elliotackerman That is genius!

elliotackerman Why should US send troops to die in Ukraine when Ukrainians themselves are playing football and tennis elsewhere. It's not as if shouting and insulting Putin online is going to end the war

elliotackerman Those cowards won't dare! Russia is not Libya

elliotackerman Без комментариев.

elliotackerman We must listen to all sides of the story for us to attain lasting peace. The West is very wrong to censor desenting voices. The West is the new Nazi Germany

elliotackerman

elliotackerman This article is written by someone with no knowledge of current situation. MIG-29s first need to be reconfigured to UA systems ( foot vs meters , GPS vs other , NATO Comms to UA). All that means time. There is also not enough UA pilots - and none of NATO pilots want to fly there

elliotackerman Please, tell everyone!!! Do not believe that Kherson is not Ukraine! Kherson was Ukraine, is Ukraine, and always will be! Don't betray us! Glory to Ukraine! Ukraine urgently needs a no-fly zone!

elliotackerman Let them try

elliotackerman Até a Time continua insistindo na fábula do Fantasma de Kiev, XadrezVerbal . É muita torcida e pouca apuração dos fatos

elliotackerman NATO r America will not fly into Ukraine air space unless they want to start WW3

elliotackerman he can destroy the NATO's headquarters

elliotackerman drones can be piloted from Poland n Romania Just see the tanks clogging the roads Wipe them out

elliotackerman UKRAINE IS PLAYING VICTIM Its the front line weapon for NATO meant to provoke RUSSIA UKRAINES MUST BE CONCUSSED BY SHELLS TO LEARN A LESSION RUSSIANS DONT BE FOOLED TO BETRAY YOUR COUNTRY, Be patriotic!

elliotackerman Not this time around we are behind Russian 🇷🇺

elliotackerman Cómo los pilotos de la OTAN podrían ayudar a defender Ucrania

elliotackerman The fact that it worked in WW2 is bcause aircraft were FAR less complex than modern fighter jets. U would need to trnsfer not only pilots, but also planes and I dont thnk NATO could dny involvement if a F15 or a Eurofighter gets in, no matter how many UKR flags you paint on them.

elliotackerman WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE TRYING TO START WWIII

elliotackerman Lol yeah but we know it won't happen.

elliotackerman Say no to NATO

elliotackerman …. but they won’t.

elliotackerman Could scare russian troops and lower the morale.

elliotackerman Serious, what is the problem these days. A bit of hardship and people want total destruction of the work. Settle down and let the big boys do the work.
