Michael Gove announced increased testing capacity for frontline workers
Tests will be rolled out to critical care doctors and nurses first followed by staff in emergency departments, paramedics and GPs.Currently, only seriously-ill patients in hospital are being tested.
About bloody time, these heroes deserve so much better treatment than they have received
And their families?
Such a priority that nothings been done for weeks
WHAT ABOUT THE RETAIL ASSISTANTS THAT ARE WORKING EVERY DAY SO EVERYONE CAN EAT...WE’RE ON THE FRONTLINE TOO...OR DON’T WE COUNT
What do you mean frontline services....does this include carers and care workers ?
That photograph itself makes me want the PM to recover, quickly. I am no fan, don’t get me wrong. However Gove, in charge. Of anything. No thanks.
That’s because Boris and his cronies got a quick test with minimal symptoms from the NHS.
There are theatre nurses and operation department Practitioners working in GPs surgerys, paid by them , now on gardening leave on 80% wage when these highly skilled individuals are now needed in ICU and back in theatre for when we need the ventilators why are they not sent back
I'm sure those on the frontline will now begin to heave some good sigh of relief following this announcement from Michael Gove, who is understandably representing our amiable prime minister Boris Johnson who's in self-isolation after testing positive for the coronavirus.
This lax approach has to stop!
Each time there is a news conference we are told testing is coming soon. I suspect we are still weeks if not months away and far to many of are working in teams decimated by this already
BBCPolitics About time.

They are our priority. THEY need the masks, they are 100% our priority. They are above all of us in importance right now.
Just another highlight or how the NHS windows have been tinted for years !!!! I really hope that it’s not too late for a serious amount of NHS frontline staff and their families..!!!!!! Wake up Goverment it’s only been coming this way since Christmas..!!
I’m sick of listening to the idiotic repetition of questions with a blame game theme for these so called journalists, let’s get some real people asking questions
Peddling government lies again
Before June, we hope!
Good about time they were tested
Good, about time!
BBCPolitics Do these heartless pricks need 2 weeks backlash to do the right thing EVERY TIME?
BBCPolitics When for heavens sake
GlynisWinestein ABOUT FUCKING TIME! ALL OF THEM? HOW OFTEN? AND IF THEY TEST POSITIVE WHAT SUPPORT !
What about the Welsh NHS staff
BBCPolitics OMG finally. You had at least 2 weeks to be ready & sat & waited. There are front line doctors & nurses now very sick because of your lack of respect for the job they do in trying to keep us all safe. At least it is being done now but shame on you all for waiting this long Cts.
And the rich.
Too little too late
After the royals and the establishment though.
Conservatives need to start being proactive and less reactive it seems all their choices only have a 24hr lifecycle.
