Lewis Hamilton could suffer the longest-ever losing streak in F1 if Max Verstappen or Charles Leclerc claim Silverstone victory BritishGP

Should he reverse his fortunes at Silverstone, Hamilton will prove to be the undisputed best driver in British Grand Prix history.

The seven-time world champion has been on such a losing streak only thrice before in his 15-year career but he’s never lost 11 in a row. He memorably clinched the title having finished fifth in the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix after passing Timo Glock on the final lap. Yet Hamilton claimed an unlikely victory and a return to the podium in the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix after starting fourth on the grid.Hamilton went another four years before suffering another such losing streak – again his last victory coming on the penultimate round of a season.
