is going to be out any time soon and Rockstar will want to keep the money rolling in from the hugely profitable GTA Online.That will mean that Grand Theft Auto 5 will have been released at full price on three consecutive generations of console, starting on the PlayStation 3 and now going all the way to the PlayStation 5.clarifies that the new version is not a Sony exclusive and is coming to ‘a new generation of consoles, including PlayStation 5, in the second half of 2021.
That obvious means Xbox Series X as well and implies there’s no kind of timed exclusivity for the new edition. Instead, a new standalone version of GTA Online will be released at the same time and will be free for PlayStation 5 owners for the first three months, the implication being the Xbox version will be out at the same time but won’t be free.
Rockstar has also revealed that some of the new content next year will be next gen exclusive, although there’s no description of what exactly yet.
