Health experts have expressed concern that the new slogan lacks clarity and may lead to an increase in ‘risky behaviour’ from the public.It comes more than six weeks after the Prime Minister imposed the UK lockdown on March 23, telling people to stay home and only leave for ‘very limited’ and essential purposes.
Seeking to clarify the new advice, a No 10 spokesman said the public can ‘stay alert’ by staying at home ‘as much as possible’, ‘limiting contact with other people’ and keeping two metres apart where possible.
Not confusing at all. As much as I'm not a fan of the Government, the huge death rate isn't all their fault. So many people simply failed to do as asked and stay at home. Many care homes are private, it's not government fault the owners failed with PPE etc.
If people can just forget about the Boris bashing for a moment and be honest with themselves I think they admit it was clear. The 'Stay Alert' slogan is terrible though

Confusing, no. Not clear enough in itself, yes. That's why they need to expand on what Stay Alert means in the messaging, they didn't have to do that so much with Stay Home
