Exclusive: health officials put forward plan last month to stem soaring coronavirus deaths

Public health officials proposed a radical lockdown of care homes last month to stem surging coronavirus deaths, including staff moving in for four weeks and deploying NHS Nightingale hospitals – but it was rejected by the government, the Guardian has learned.

My daughter in laws grandmother is in a home and they locked down two weeks before we did. No deaths there.

Gibraltar government locked care homes down and there's been a 40% drop in deaths in care homes this year. Residents have been totally shielded.

What the fuck

Well not my Mother's care home(s) that locked down well before Government 'advice'. Hat's off to their 'advisors'!

Add that to the list of common sense, life-saving ideas they’ve rejected. Unbelievable.
