is this what 54 looks like now in the UK?

The Mail should have got up and gone years ago

It's all to do with health and little to do with age. Also much to do with the prescribed drugs you are taking. Do you really need them?

What a load of rubbish !!!

Rubbish. Love to see the type of methodology they used to arrive at this finding.

Utter rubbish - still getting up & going for 80 hours a week like the Duracell Bunny !!

🤦‍♂️

What an old looking 54-year old.

There should be a don’t like for this tweet. Where is the 54 year old man?

My neighbor is 59 years old , is a well hung businessman, plays tennis and works out at the gym daily. He is married and has two mistresses (19 year old& 47 years old females). His wife does know nothing.

Wowza, is that poor woman only 54?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🙈Well, it izzzzz the Daily Mail after all🙄

Rubbish.

So even if, if, you take any credence from a survey in Norway of just over 900 people from such a vast age. Why have you used a photo of someone who isn’t actually anywhere near 54 or indeed a woman? Absolute tosh of the highest order that you continuously spew. Garbage!

It was around the age most people died in the old times. Must be in our genes.

I,m 80 and got up and go to cancel the mail . Didn’t need much thought, after years of following the blue top now gone red!

Absolute tosh !

Weird I gave up on “get up and go” 5 years ago and am 29 🥴🥴😂😂😂😂

I hope those folks find it because getting older can be a fantastic experience: we've learned so much, our priorities are so much clearer, we know better whom we love and why ...

DFWradiogirlie My get up and go has already gone and went

Rubish

WHAT? I feel MORE energetic in my 50s BECAUSE there's more issues to FIGHT FOR! LQQK around you! Trump in office. Men wanting to define WHAT is a women's body is and isn't ... and take WomenRights away! PLENTY of issues to FIGHT ON FOR in middle age!!!

The majority of women in my campaign changethefaceofmenopause are over50 does these women look like they've lost their 'get up and go' 😏 MondayMotivation

Millennials see to lose it slightly earlier

Only if they eat rubbish and get lazy. 54 is only halfway there.

Not for me, just turned 60 and have more energy than ever. Previously, all get up and go went with 3 kids, a job and numerous elderly to care for. Now, still working, lots of free time for dog walks, cycling etc.

Headlines like this with an image like that need sorting - a shocking effort please go something about it and quickly ageism

That's the oldest looking 54 year old I have ever seen.......poor by the mail as usual

She is not 54. I know plenty of people above that age who are fitter now then before. Another nothing story.

Any chance Ian Randall of the Mailonline getting up and going? ageisjustanumber

Yet you work to 67

Sit down an stop! Yeah me too. zzzzzz.... 🥱

Well, indeed.

Complete and exact opposite for me. 53, gave up drinking, 55 gave up smoking, now, in the gym 6 sessions a week. Never felt more motivated.

I have 249 days left of get up and go then. Well that's shit because I feel like it's already gone

Depending on how life treats you i would say.

You can say that again!!

Hell NO! That's when you floor the accelerator!

That’s not what the article says.... if you read it.

Millennial editorial assistant sees headline “age of 54”. Searches Getty Images for “old person”.

My apologies to the lady in the picture but she is nowhere near 54

Today's pointless study...

Ran my first half marathon at 54

Tell me about it 😕😕😕😕

What load of crap

Some people sit on their ass getting fat eating junk their whole lives. Meanwhile this guy is 54. It's about choice.

marisastio That lady in pic is 84

Always count on the Daily Mail to publish something negative. Kick us when we're down why don't you?

I’m 54 and full of life and raring to go. So that’s make your article a load of crap then

Andronicus50 Baring serious illness, only if you didn't take good care of yourself

And if denied seeing families they lose the will to live rightsforresidents wearefamilynotvisitors whereswhatley

54? Wow, she must have had a long paper round 😳

Cheers! My get up and go got up and went when I read your ridiculous article.

I’ll be losing it way before if we carry on like this 🙄
