Germany’s vaccination committee has reversed its guidance not to administer the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab to over-65s in light of new studies proving the vaccine’s efficacy, promising to unblock a bottleneck in the country’s immunisation campaign.
I‘ve read several reports about this in German. None say over-65s ‘should‘ get the AZ vaccine. They say ‘können’ - can, ‘könnten’ - could, or ‘ist genehmigt’ - is permitted, ‘angeboten’- offered. No should!
As usual, trolls with the usual cliches turn up. The Germans have a careful, science based approach. Despite nine land borders and a huge international airport in Frankfurt and a high population density in North Rhein Westfalia Germany has a low per capita mortality rate.
Don’t give it to the Germans, give it to Africa who want it, needs it far more the EU owners, tried to rubbish it.
Yep, the French & German governments have caused more unnecessary deaths of their people by lying. Imagine if our government had acted like this! The Guardian would be going berserk.
If vaccines were sunbeds these would have been long gone.
