Geneva is a expensive. When I was an expat in early to middle 2000s, my weekly food shopping at Migros (biggest Swiss food retailer) was almost 3x my weekly food shopping in London. To save money I either used the Migros loyalty card or shopped at Auchan in France at the border👍
