MPs and peers urge PM to act on soaring energy bills

It argues that by scrapping the 5% VAT rate on energy bills and suspending environmental levies which fund renewable energy schemes, the average household could save £200 on their energy bill.

He added that he was not saying to "get rid of them forever" but to suspend them at a time when people could really struggle. More than 20 energy suppliers have gone out of business since the start of September, with their customers shifted to new providers.

Under the heading “The Claim: climate change action will make people poorer”, this article exactly describes the way the Global Warming Policy Foundation/NZSG/NetZeroWatch operate. How can the BBC be so deaf to its own advisers?!😣

He and the Greens designed it, supported by the MSM. Why change it? This is what was intended, wasn’t it?

Funny how we only pay 5% VAT on energy bills making sound a good deal and then bung on another 15% green taxes oh yes back to 20%. Strange that slimy bastards

Reducing demand (with an insulation program) would reduce prices! ClimateChange remember 'supply and demand '

Nationalise and eradicate profits.

A THIRD year of restrictions - not actually winding down.. all looking a bit samey now isn't it. (football behind closed doors next) AND YEAH wearing a face mask is a big deal - these kids will have impaired social skills and less other disease immunity

Stop the thieving.
