Following research from more than 240 million verified reviews from real travellers across 220 countries and territories, Booking.com has revealed the most welcoming places in the UK to inspire your next staycation.
Two locations in Co Down and one in both Co Antrim and Co Fermanagh have reigned triumphant, dominating the top half of the list.Newcastle was ranked the second 'most welcoming place' in the UK, followed closely by Newry in third, Enniskillen in fourth and Ballycastle taking the sixth spot. The research recognises more than 1.36 million travel providers around the world for their hospitality, including 60,697 in the UK as part of its annual awards.Arjan Dijk, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer for Booking.com, commented: “It’s that personal attention to detail when checking in or sharing helpful recommendations to explore the destination like a local that demonstrates how our partners show up and shine for travellers in a multitude of ways each and every day.
