Strange how the Dutch don’t suffer the same way, but considering they spend billions of their taxes on flood defenses I suppose it’s not strange.
Any reporter goin 2 ask why we stopped dredging rivers - THIS & concreting over every small bit of grass in populated areas which used to be natural drainage is the cause of flooding BUT not a mention or question.

Why are some councils giving the go ahead to build housing on areas prone to flooding ?
We cant prevent floods, we are a very wet island.
