2838 'involve' Covid. Define 'involve'? If a window cleaner fell off his ladder 27 days after a positive PCR test, (which was probably a false positive) and died it makes him a Covid stat.
Just a quick reminder to any of the people who are saying 'it only kills 1%'. You have to take into account how many of those cases will be hospitalised, how many more beds will the already packed NHS have to make available and how many patients have to be left without treatment.
Is it possible to breakdown the numbers and tell us how many died of cancer - which wasn't treated due to priority given to covid patients?

What is the UK’s proportion of covid deaths in care homes? In Canada, as of Nov 15, 98.5% of covid deaths occurred in care homes as per CTVNews . Only 166 deaths had occurred outside of care homes nationwide. Is the UK’s proportion equally high? Do you have access to that data?

Due to COVID panic by NHS my neighbour was told that his regular treatment for his medical condition may stop. He asked what would happen if it did stop. Reply was 'You may die if it stops that is what happens'. He is still alive, others are not.

Is it a surprise that mortality due to a new virus that mainly affects the old and weaker is causing so many deaths? Esp as there are no treatments. If we close down chunks of the NHS and spread panic, is it a surprise that more people have died of other things as a consequence?
Our entire healthcare system has been shut down for the best part of a year, it's not really surprising that deaths are going up - obviously they will need to be relabelled as Covid in order to keep the fear going.
Excess from what compared to what? 5 year average is pointless. 25 year average is proportional and shows under average. We know cancer, heart, diabetes, etc are all higher due to critical care being shambolic and the backlog created by Government AND the NHS a scandal.
What you never mention is that 10-12,000 people dying every week of various diseases is the norm right now. Nobody ever mentions the age and health profiles of nearly all of Covid deaths . It matters.

No such thing as 'Normal Levels' all the Data is judged against a 5 year AVERAGE, but to get an average figure some years have to be High, some have to be Low, BBC weren't headlining the summer months when the death rate was way below the 5 year average, just more scaremongering
