FORMER England footballer Kenny Sansom has left hospital as he continues to recover from an attack that left him fighting for his life.5Kenny made 394 appearances for ArsenalA family friend said he is now being treated at a rehab centre close to his family in Surrey.

"If he is going to recover he is going to need a lot of care and treatment. A lot of people in the game still love Kenny and are keen to help and make sure he is OK. Everyone is praying he comes through this. Pals fear the ex-footballer has permanent brain damage and he has not walked since the alleged attack in April at a property in Exeter.Cops quizzed a man, 60, suspected of attacking Sansom on April 7. But the case has hit a dead end because of a lack of witnesses.

He turned out 394 times for the Gunners in the eighties - and also had played for Newcastle, QPR, Coventry, Everton and Watford.
