Thousands of people lost their lives “prematurely” because care homes in England lacked the protective equipment and financial resources to cope with the coronavirus outbreak, according to council care bosses.

Private nursing homes are expensive

Absolutely heart breaking!! To think that lack of basic but essential equipment cost lives is a travesty.

Please don't worry.. you will always get Indian smart subsidized educated person... To serve her Majesty....

The government due to their hesitation, not being prepared, lack of investment in the NHS, Social Care, Voluntary Sector, Unpaid Carers and basically people failed this country. Thank god for the health & care sector for incredible response.

How many of thd care homes are run privately and have been taking profits prior to covid19?

Disgusting.

Private care homes run for profit are not the responsibility of the state.
