Emmerdale fans fuming as Meena gets away with her crimes after funeral blunder

Emmerdale fans were left furious on Thursday's episode as Meena Jutla was nearly exposed for her crimes after she dropped a vital piece of evidence at Leanna's funeral

Earlier this month, Meena (Paige Sandhu) brutally hauled Leanna (Mimi Slinger) off a bridge to fall to her death, which the police have since ruled as an "accidental fall".On Thursday's episode, Leanna's devastated father Liam Cavanagh paid his respects to his daughter at an emotional funeral after banning all of her friends and even her on-off boyfriend Jacob Gallagher from attending.

However, "evil" Meena, who was seen smirking as the coffin made its way through the village, resorted to her menacing ways once again as she showed up at the funeral. Leyla was left shocked as she spotted the unhinged nurse at the back of the church, telling her she can't be there as it was only family allowed, but the character pretended to be there to support Liam, saying: "I thought you weren't coming, so sorry." headtopics.com

After Liam permitted Meena to say, the "evil" nurse continued to play with Leanna's ring, which she stole after murdering her and has been wearing on a necklace.Yet the character was soon left panicked after the ring snapped off and landed by the feet of Liam, which left soap watchers in suspense to see if it would be discovered.

However, both Liam and Leyla left the funeral without spotting it while Meena asked if she could stay behind to say a "quiet goodbye" so she could scoop it up.Viewers were let fuming over the scenes as Meena continued to get away with murder and the fact that the ring could have been key to her downfall.

One person said: "This Meena storyline is really getting on my nerves!! I’m literally shouting at the TV #Emmerdale."A different account fumed: "If it's OK I'd like to say a quiet goodbye" Really Meena? So she just continues to get away with it yet again seriously? #Emmerdale #RIPLeanna."

Another show watcher commented: "So much for the ring being what takes Meena down. Suppose we'll have to wait until Christmas #Emmerdale."While a different account added: "Why the hell would Meena wear Leanna's stolen ring to her b****y Funeral of all places? Does she genuinely wanna be caught or what seriously? Look down Liam #Emmerdale." headtopics.com
