EastEnders have revealed that Mo Harris, played by Laila Morse, will return to Albert Square later in 2022 with the actress set to begin filming later in the summer

EastEnders’ Mo Harris is set to return to Albert Square after leaving the show in 2021 and actress Laila Morse has promised plenty of "mischief".EastEnders will kill off the character Lola Pearce played by actress Danielle Harold, it has been reported.EastEnders has just dropped a major hint that Phil Mitchell might be killed off on the BBC One soap.EastEnders' latest filming pictures, which were snapped from a warehouse location in East London, have teased Phil Mitchell's highly-anticipated return to the BBC soap after his stint in prison.

The character first appeared in the BBC One soap more than two decades ago and became one of Walford’s most recognisable faces.She left Walford in June last year for a life of fun on a cruise ship with her beloved Fat Elvis, but will now return to the Square for a short stint later this summer.They claim that Lola will finally settle down and fall in love with her former boyfriend Jay Brown before her illness takes hold and leaves her in a dire situation.A renowned schemer, "Big Mo" is always up to something, so the question of what brings her back is sure to be on everyone’s lips.In scenes of him in prison, the character is still refusing to become a police informant and has made an enemy out of another prisoner named Craig.Last seen leaving Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) in a rather unfortunate, and illegal, predicament, she is never far from her family, or trouble.Jay, played by Jamie Borthwick, will nurse Lola until her final, heartbreaking end, to be screened later this year.Speaking about reprising the role, Laila, 76, said: "I always have so much fun playing Mo so I can’t wait to get back to the Square and see what mischief she gets up to this time.It appears Phil will let loose on the evil Lewis, as actor Aidan is also pictured covered in costume blood and showing a roughed-up face using makeup, in tense scenes expected to air over the next several weeks.
