Lorry driver browsing dating sites at wheel jailed after causing three deaths

His 305-tonne lorry, laden with fertiliser, was moving at least 50mph over that time.

Judge James Adkin said: "You were not asleep at the wheel, which would have been bad enough. In fact you were trawling the internet on dating sites looking for casual sexual partners." There were two lorries and four cars involved in the collision, with several other people suffering serious injuries. The lorry "careered out of control, destroying everything in its path" before ending up 100m down the carriageway past the point of the initial impact.

Eight years and ten months for killing three people, disgusting sentence.

Thankyou for putting this news item on. I remember the crash on being reported on Television. Very sad indeed, but hopefully some closure with driver jailing. The law for Dangerous driving, that causes death needs to be reviewed.

Just a guess deport; never to return. Send family with them. Maybe they will give grief deserved. May upset a few but we need a better judicial system this would stop the free ride; might make them take notice; as will come out a lawyer or barrister maybe even a judge.

Well at least in Jail he wont newd no dating app ...so many sutors

Maximum sentence 14 years I believe he got 8 and a bit 😡 sad for the victims and the families rip

8 years for killing 3 people is not justice for the families who have to live with the pain for the rest of their lives 💌

Now its easy for him to finalise the location
