High street retailer Next cuts sick pay for unvaccinated staffUnvaccinated staff who are required to isolate because they have been identified as a close contact of someone with the virus will only receive statutory sick pay unless there are mitigating circumstances. Another erosion of ppl's rights & benefits based on the vax or non-vaxed argument. What about those who have been vaxed but need to or should self-isolate after testing positive for covid. Does this include those vaxed just twice rather than 3 times? Btw, haven't Next heard the news, the vaxes are not designed to create immunity for omicron. I had covid in March to May 2020 & 2 vaxes in 2021. I still got omicron. Yes, I did isolate for 10 days. Its the right thing to do, sickness benefit or not. WGM Good. Time for the govt to do similar, starting with charging unvaxxed super-spreaders an extra tax to support the NHS that they are disproportionately causing to be overwhelmed. We’re only close to being back to normal because the majority chose to be vaccinated.
