The thing people should note is that this hunt was sanctioned as a conservational hunt that will help conservation as a whole.
There's really no reason to be mad here. All he did was legally participate in a popular beneficial industry. Regulated hunting has been key in countries with successful wildlife recovery throughout the 20th Century.
Good for him. He did this in a perfectly legal way. He bought a permit. This helps conserve wildlife because the money the permit generates can be used for anti-poaching measurements and putting wildlife on protected land.
Whether or not there were questionable circumstances surrounding this specific hunt, there's no reason to call hunting in general evil. Well-regulated hunting is a necessary piece of successful conservation. Let's not throw out the baby with the bathwater here.

The problem with saying this is a bad thing and targeting specific people, is that it's not a bad thing and many people engage in similar activities. Hunting helps conservation it's good that there are governmental officials who know that conservation works and put it to practice
Mongolia has very similar laws about hunting game as countries in Africa. They are there to establish value for these endangered species by selling hunting permits. Since Trump Jr. bought a permit, he probably did more for conservation in one trip than y'all ever will.
