Doctor who runs his shower for 20 minutes when he's back from holiday

When Dr Tom Makin returns home from a two-week summer holiday, there is one household chore he sees to before he even unpacks his bags. He heads straight to the bathroom and turns on the shower before dashing out again, shutting the door firmly behind him.

Our neighbour died while at a different house with legionärs disease, so maybe it makes sense but instead of letting the water be wasted water the plants with it.

Wonder if he runs his cold water faucet for 2.5mins to avoid the greater risk of leadinthewater, before taking a drink!

Good advice from a well paid doctor....if you can afford the electricity

This guy is a doctor? So, he wastes 20 minutes worth of water, when all he should do is spray the showerhead with bleach or any other disinfectant. Places like India where the reservoirs are now puddles must be shaking their heads.
