The four-minute video, created by director and super-fan Morgan Cooper, reimagined the hit comedy as a serious drama telling the story of a working-class Philadelphia teen adapting to life with his richer family in Los Angeles. It racked up over 7.5m views between two YouTube posts, and caught the attention of the show’s original star Will Smith, who is now developing a series with Cooper.
A lot of negative responses to this, but I think it looks awesome. Hard yes.
Can’t the money be spent somewhere useful?
It didn't look dark at all what did I miss in the trailer. Actually looked like Afro fantasy considering most blacks in the US are living in poverty, pay cheque to pay cheque, on the streets or enslaved in the prison system.
Just call it ruined then, taking out the best lighthearted part of the show.

I was expecting to hate that trailer, but I thought it looked good, yet why do I have a niggling feeling the writers are gonna go into full woke mode and wreck it.
