Danny Dyer admits wife Joanne 'resents' him over successful acting career

The EastEnders actor explained that part of the reason was due to their switched roles in recent years.

"She sacrificed a lot for me," the star, who recently joked about praising his 25 year old daughter Dani's new beau Jarrod Bowen, said. "The idea that I was going to be an actor, coming from where I come from, I didn't stand a chance. The actor continued: "The idea of one partner sacrificing a potential career to let the other one go off and roll the dice and be free, and fly, she did allow that.The married couple, who first met over 20 years ago when they were just 14, share three children together – Love Island star Dani, teenager Sunnie, 14, and son Arty, eight.

Recalling how he and Joanne had started their life together, Danny said: "I remember when she first came out of school and got nine GCSEs she had to go to Asda serving up the chickens and on the pizza counter.
