DAN WALKER , BBC Breakfast show host, has opened up about how he deals with the criticism and praise he receives as the face of a national TV show and admits that his co-host Louise Minchin, think's he's 'weird' for how it affects him.

, where he takes the time out of his busy day to reply to viewers - fans or not - regarding anything from his personal life to what they saw on the show that day. But in an exclusive interview with Radio Times , he revealed that he doesn't let what people think of him affect who he is and what he does, something that his co-host Louise Minchin finds"weird" about him. “Whether people think I’m brilliant or terrible, that doesn’t affect how I feel about myself," Dan explained. "Louise thinks I’m weird like that. Writing in Cheshire Life magazine, she opened up about her reasons behind her decision: “You might think I am oversensitive (I probably am), and need to grow a thicker skin (I probably do), but the truth is I can read a hundred nice comments about me but it will be the nasty one I will remember, try as I might to shrug it off. “Recently the level of acrimony on social media reached unnerving levels, with people constantly shouting at each other, whipping up outrage and throwing around wild assumptions. She stated: “I realised, I had had enough of reading it and being drawn into the cycle of negativity."
