The children of, and children deemed vulnerable, can still go to school each day. This includes those without access to a laptop at home, or a quiet place to study.

Caretakers open unlock doors/gates. The students arrive and school walk into classes and school then has inset day for training.
My biggest concern is the students with shielding family members. They are being told each time they MUST return but they don't want to bring risk home. They should allow online access as well as in class for these people.
In August new infections were very low, then schools reopened in September and we all know what happened. What makes Boris Johnson think that won't happen again? Teachers and parents aren't vaccinated yet.

Stop saying All pupils will be back on 8th March. My 14 Yr old's school have already emailed to say they will let me know when I can take her in, DURING THE W/C 8TH MARCH, for a Covid test. If she tests negative they will then give me a return to school date.
Still fails to mention that for secondary schools students only return once they have had a negative test. Schools are expected to test students during that week.

No school should open until the kids are tested at least twice a week then it's safer for the wider community, as far as kids mental health and wellness a lot of kids are doing better now as they're not been bullied or put under pier pressure

India covid19 update: All cinemas open, swimming pools open, mass gathering allowed, signs travel bubble with 5 countries, all malls and shopping centres fully operational, schools colleges opening, no more lockdown - yet masks are compulsory. This we can call as progressive.
No chance. Wont open until after the Easter holidays. Even if there is a small chance they do open before then, they wont open to every student. Probably just the year 11s and the ECPs before gradually increasing the numbers day by day. It won't happen though 100%.
Never has the word 'hopes' been more crucial, let's face it so far every decision Boris has made has either been back tracked or been a total disaster and cost many thousands of lives, perhaps its time the scientists took over the country until Covid is under control

Schools are open and many have over 50% of kids in them, either close them properly for all but actual key workers like 1st lockdown or open them fully.
They should close playgrounds too as this is contradicting schools closing
So the PM gives a date far enough in advance to buy off those who wish to keep their children at home and in the vain hope of damping down the media criticism around children's education. Next will be those asking as to whether a three week Winter term is a waste of time.
