UK Covid growth rate slowing and cases 'plateauing' in some areas, Professor Neil Ferguson says

But he said: "It looks like in London in particular and a couple of other regions in the South East and East of England, hospital admissions may even have plateaued...

Prof Ferguson added: "I would hope the hospital admissions might plateau… sometime in the next week, but hospital bed occupancy may continue to rise slowly for up to two weeks." She said: "We found people with very high amounts of virus in their nose and throat swabs, that would easily be in the range which would cause levels of transmission to other individuals. Therefore, we're reassuring people that it's good news but asking them to still follow the rules."

And this....

Has anybody reminded Professor Lockdown that his prediction of '500,000 deaths' which helped lead to all of this nearly a year ago is still just a bit short disgraced noscience bbcbias

Inevitable after the Christmas and new year fiasco, how many grandparents died due to selfishness and stupidity.

Bloody hell , him again . Give it a rest 🤬

if true then it's positive, let's not mess it up this time, keep our nerve and discipline

Yesterday the highest ever seen since it started last March and today slowing ! Amazing.

I really don't want to hear what Prof Ferguson has to say. Anyone with the moral turpitude of a randy backyard snake, should not be advising anyone in a crisis.

This Neil Ferguson?

Normally happens with a seasonal virus , and general virus throughout the year. But some people just want it to carry on and on their purpose in life is to gossip and scaremongering rather than just get on with it.

We've heard enough from him.

Why does the BBC still interview the totally discridited and irrelevant Neil Ferguson.. people just switch off..when he pops up.

BBCPolitics It's still too early to make that judgement imo, Johnson made the same mistake yesterday in PMQs sciencewillwin

BBCPolitics lockdowns work . . .

We already know this, we don't need the guesser to tell us. He couldn't predict his way out of a wet face nappy.

For public sanity I just wish we didnt get daily news saying how many people have died.

Open the pubs

Why Ferguson? He should be fired. An absolutely disgraceful human being.

BBCPolitics “I’ve got a great idea for just after lockdown”

He then says he's hard to say... Shite article.

We don't need Ferguson to tell us this we know.

You don't say....

Yep good news cases dropping deaths 350 yest not the 1500 they make you think.

This is controversial and not accepted by the scientific mainstream. But it raises serious questions.🤔

I believe it then..!

Thanks mr scientist!

Why would you take Neil Ferguson’s advice? He can’t even follow his own advice!
