Countries with high levels of overweight people, such as the UK and the US, have the highest death rates from Covid-19, a landmark report reveals, prompting calls for governments to urgently tackle obesity, as well as prioritising overweight people for vaccinations.

Who would have thought being fat was poor for ones health? I thought we were normalizing obesity, so the fatties arent body shamed.

We knew obesity was a risk factor during the first wave of the pandemic but the media didn’t dare mention it for fear of being accused of discrimination. Well done for highlighting this important issue. Obese people must be prioritised for vaccination.

Bullshit. There are hit countries with overweight people and they’ve very little deaths. Like most of the countries in Africa which are open and not under lockdown
