The government claims to have exceeded its goal of a daily Covid-19 test capacity of 200,000 by the end of May.
I don't know who the person in Scotland is but what they said makes more sense
I've ordered 2 tests this evening, delivery within 48 hours. Have to book a return courier for the test to be collected before doing the test then X amount of days to get the result. What day should I expect my 2 tests to counted towards in your figures? MattHancock
The fact that they have to lie day after day in the vain attempt to manage their reputation should scream out loud to everyone that, for them, this is a political crisis & not a health crisis......saving lives is not their priority.
Capacity, not tests. Please don't promote a lie.👍
Johnson's tongue must be raw from licking all those stamps.
It's only a test if it has been carried out. Keeping it a box in a warehouse does not count, and as they can't provide the count of people tested you should not report it as such, no matter what they say.
By claim you mean it's untrue.
Why are you even reporting that it might possibly be true when all the reports say Hancock just decided to change what actually counts
No
so that's 100k going out and 100k coming back - yep we handled 200k
Misleading headline. Seriously your supposed to be a national newspaper. CAPACITY. Don’t continue to facilitate this Governments incompetence.
Makes one wonder they’re not publishing the numbers. Modesty is a bugger...
Lies
The capacity perhaps, at a push. But it would be good to see the actual no of people tested daily & have assurance the test figures are no longer double counting
...and only 40k people tested 🤣 Counting gloves used by testers now as part of tests
What are we supposed to do when our own govt treats us as fools? 200k = “capacity”....the real question: how many people (and who) NEED to be tested per day as part of a real strategy / plan? And then: what % of that need is met? The rest is b*llocks intended to obfuscate.
That's a lie. Anything and everything claimed by this gang of habitual liars is lie.
Nope.
What a load of bollocjs - every day a tissue of lies
Capacity rather than actual tests, is it not?
It is another lie.
Blimey, did someone just go to Rymans and buy up 200,000 envelopes?
Boris Johnson said there would be 200,000 people tested not the capacity to test 200,000 people.
Not often I have to say this, but the is misreporting here. We haven't actually done 200,000 tests; the government claim a capacity to do them. Not the same. Its actually been 9 days since the government have been able to find out how many people have been tested.
In 2 weeks, that will be 200,000 Coronavirus cases daily. Good Job...
If they have 200,000 tests, but never use them and forever have those 200,000 tests then their daily target is always hit. Until they start actually testing people to that degree their numbers are meaningless.
If only it were true
The government says a lot of bull shit but they don't have the receipts to back it up trumpisbullshit
But they count the 2 swabs (from 1 test) as 2 tests! Also, they are retesting people. These stats are pointless.
CAPACITY isn't testing! 🙄
Cummings was probably just picking up the tests from Durham 😏
Yeah but still no number on how many people have actually been tested. For all we know half of the number of tests have been performed on gibbons.
Bullshit. Plain n simple
I'm Anastasia. The murdered Russian princess. I claim it, so it must be right 🤷♀️
Woooo a just saw a flying pig!! bvut David wrestled it to the ground and shagged it, Boris was pissed off because it was his turn!!!!
Claims
How many people tested ?
