The number of children in care has gone up by 28% in the past decade with council leaders warning of unsustainable pressure being placed on support services for young people.
So tragic.
And yesterday the Guardian was complaining about how the government isn't going to bring over 30 year old men claiming to be children. You know those children who have led to the above figure soaring. At least be honest regards the reasons why.
Many reasons for this. However, there does need to be a focus on retaining Experienced Social Workers and making sure they have the time needed to support/work with families imo. More Social Workers needed in early intervention rather than mostly in Child Protection
