Helen Whately admitted some care homes had felt 'under pressure' to accept people discharged from hospital without being tested for COVID-19

The homes would be selected because they are able to nurse and isolate residents who have the disease from hospitals and those discharged who are still waiting for test results. The DHSC was criticised for guidelines during the height of the outbreak which sent people back to care homes untested. Some facilities said they were simply not able to provide the level of care needed and felt forced to take in the residents.

She said:"We're working with the Care Quality Commission on inspecting and designating specific facilities that have the highest standard of infection prevention and control for people to be discharged from hospital into."

This is what they did, first time round, in Italy with catastrophic results. This would be like genocide of the old in homes.

To die

Because it worked so effectively the first time....

Wahey my time machine worked!

And the covid patient will pass covid to all house mates who are at most risk of getting infected . Seriously?

Seems legit considering the last time this happened more people died

Another disaster waiting to happen.

Again? Did they not kill enough the first time around?

I find it hard to believe that any Care home has the facilities to ‘care’ for an elderly COVID patient. Will it be elderly recovering COVID patients not in need of oxygen and ICU care. Will they no longer be shedding virus. If not - it’s the same as last time.

No no no

The day that happens I quit and know many many more who will we do t get a nurses wage we are not nurses

Care homes are understaffed and under paid for what they have to put up with.

Nigel60007 that's how they killed my Uncle in may

Isn’t this what got them into the care home mess last time?

Coronavirus: Covid spike warning if schools and pubs stay openStormont's leaders are warned Covid-19 infection rates will keep rising if schools & hospitality sector remain open Socialists always think they can live forever in other people’s money, even if those same people are removed from the economy. It’s never worked , ever in history. Price’s law of economics— 10% of the people do 100% of the work. The socialists always get rid of the working 10%. Yes and we have to get on with life But Stormont will fail to act - largely because a large section of the DUP are followers of Donald Trump on this issue.
