Women take on the burden of unpaid chores during Covid, UN data shows, threatening gender equality.

Women are doing significantly more domestic chores and family care, because of the impact of the pandemic.

"If it was more than three times as much as men before the pandemic, I assure you that number has at least doubled," says Ms Bhatia. BBC 100 Women has spoken to three women, looking at how the pandemic has impacted the amount work they do. They were asked to keep a time diary, noting down how they used the hours in a typical day, covering a 24-hour-period.'I reached my limit almost every day, my daughter would be crying and then I'd be crying.'

Teni says time is a luxury she doesn't have in between home-schooling, planning meals, working and doing the laundry.

Coronavirus is killing men but here is how women are oppressed

So Japan, Kenya & Bolivia are where in the UK for this to be UK news not World News? The Intern who wrote this should brush up on their geography. Misleading headline.

Bet the feminazi lot would hate to know that my wife is a stay at home mother who cooks all the meals and does all the housework.

I see Covid does have some benefits afterall

This is BBC news uk but actually it's about women in other countries whilst implication of uk by omission.

Wow. Having to look after your own children. Putting the washing machine on. Watching Netflix before bed. How hard it is nowadsys, compared to say, when my grandparents were growing up. Geez, lockdown is sooo unfair...

What a load of crap.

Great news on UK fishing - Brexit is almost complete. If Brxiteers are happy - it's the real thing.

It's about time Karen wound her next in 😂

Gotto love gender studies. defundBBC

Here we go again! Stop it BBC - it MY choice if I do chores - fed up of 'feminists' deciding what us women sld think/feel/do. Funny equality NOT what they want in divorce courts & child access - then they play the 'poor weak female' card. Hypercrites.

More men dying. 'Women hardest hit.'
