All of Paul’s conflicting emotions soon come tumbling out of him and the result is him violently attacking Kel.– spots his bleeding hand and he lies to her that he hurt it in his van door.
Before long Kel is discovered and taken to hospital and Paul is forced to confess to a confused Gemma that he was lying and actually gave Kel a beating.Gemma then pleads with their mum, Bernie, not to grass Paul to the police. Meanwhile, Paul tells Billy what he did and that he’s put Kel in a coma. Billy implores Paul to go to the police and confess, but to also reveal how Kel abused him as a child.
On Wednesday, Paul is relieved when he learns that although Kel has suffered a bleed to the brain, he should make a full recovery. When the police quiz Kel about the attack, he lies and says he was jumped by a gang of lads which he didn’t see.He admits that he couldn’t bring himself to report Kel to the police as it would mean
