Jeremy Corbyn has urged Boris Johnson to take a stand against the Brazilian government over its failure to protect the Amazon rainforest. In an interview with broadcasters, he said: [The Brazilian president Jair] Bolsanaro has allowed and indeed encouraged these fires to take place, to clear the forest in order that the land can then be used for actually very short term agriculture production and after that it becomes desert. That is what’s happening to the rainforest.
There's more chance of us winning the Ashes than that happening.
As Leader of the Opposition would he not be the default leader of any government of national unity? Would it not make sense for Greens and Lib Dems to let him be PM for a FEW DAYS so he can call an election, a People's Vote, or revoke Article 50?
Ask Caroline Lucas MP to take the role of interim PM. We might even keep her as the next democratically elected PM at the next GE. Its only sensible really!!
Baby kissing is out!
That poor kid.
I think Keir Starmer would make a fine PM, he makes such a contrast to the charlatans and schemers running the Brexit show now. His relatively short political career is well supplemented by his time as a QC and his strong intellect.
Next election is 2022.
Labour have lost the working class in the U.K. they have sold every one of us down the river in favour of identity politics and it’s sad. We have been ignored and vilified because we dare to have dissenting opinions to that of the middle class “socialists” in charge.
hasn't everyone already said this?
The greens and the liberals have 15 MPs between (13 elected as such) they need to get real, stop acting like children and focus on the National good
How is the US ruled by China People of all countries follow China's orders directly, not their President's. China is only two ways abroad, killing and propaganda, not economic. beat the dog before the lion and radiation wave guns;get in touch and propaganda in other countries.
“Green” says! So 1 mp
Corbyn is a RU asset, so...
There are minimum 20 labour MPs who will only vote Corbyn if not loads more. Its Corbyn for six weeks then election or May's deal.
. johnmcdonnellMP is right MPs have to get behind a jeremycorbyn led caretaker Govt to stop a NDHB & get a 2nd Ref. Labour has a more mandate than Johnson voted in by 120k Tory members whilst an unity candidate will be an unelected technocrat PM.
Commonsensical advice. Corbyn toxic to many Remainers outside his sectarian support.
Government of National Unity is an unicorn idea. It is a bunch of undemocratic unelected technocrat Remainers pushing for their idea. It won't be supported by the Labour MPs in Leave areas. The only option is a Corbyn led caretaker Govt to stop a NDHB!
GNU is a plot to remove Corbyn! Ken Clarke confirms it here jeremycorbyn has to resign for it to happen. Ken wants a Brexit as GNU leader. Swinson's game is unraveling. NoDealLibDems SadiqKhan says the last option StopBrexitSaveBritain UKLabour
He won't because he wants Brexit as much as the ERG and the Tories. This way he gets to say he tried, blame the other party's for not getting behind him then blame the Tories for the disaster that will happen on a no deal.
Could we not have a council of all the party leaders involved, Corby as chairman (as the largest party) and say Downing Street is a place of work and nobody lives there until after a general election. Problem solved, nobody is interim PM.
Is this one of Caroline Lucas’ female cabinet fantasies?
The baby he's holding has more chance of becoming PM
Shouldn’t that rule apply to any other candidate too then?
Zzzzzzzzz
