Trial finds convalescent plasma therapy DOESN'T cut the risk of dying from Covid-19 in crushing blow to promising coronavirus treatment

People who were given the treatment were just as likely to develop a severe condition or die from the disease as people who did not receive plasma.

Guess we will have to be vaccinated after all...

Very misleading headline. They used extremely weak plasma. I donate Covid plasma 2x a week. All you need is a positive test, you could have been asymptomatic, doesn't matter. They don't test for amount of antibodies.

The true impact of coronavirus second wave on NHS hospitals revealedHospitals in the north of England hit hard by increasing surge in Covid-19 patients Put out rubbish with unsubstantiated claims like this is the main reason nobody reads the independent 🙄 'On Thursday there were 685 patients in Manchester hospitals, 11 per cent of the total beds available, with another 100 patients suspected of having the virus.' Only 11 percent? And they put it in Tier 3?! So it looks like around or under 10% of those hospitalised need ventilation. Just need mortality figures. Given that we have 2,000 fewer beds across NHS - that’s the looming crisis
