Researchers develop one-step coronavirus test that can be run at the doctor's office in 30 minutes

Most coronavirus tests on the market use a two-step process known as 'extraction' and 'amplification'. The extraction step requires making probes to attack to the viral RNA while the amplification step makes thousands of copies for genes of the virus.
