Leaked test results suggest government and construction industry had evidence of dangers posed by cladding, 13 years before Grenfell Tower fire

Five cladding systems were tested, including one with aluminium panels, although the primary aim was not to assess the risk of particular designsTwo were constructed from high pressure laminate boards, formed from wood, or paper fibre, widely used on modern apartment blocks in the UK.

Zoe Bartley bought a three-room flat in Chelmsford four years ago, and with her partner Ash, now has a baby. "We've done everything right. Everything by the book: 'Buy a property and set yourself up for the future.'Her building is lower than 18 metres, so does not qualify for government funding. He said that when poor test data is not made public, it creates a bias towards tests with successful outcomes.

The Grenfell Tower inquiry has heard evidence that this standard was much easier to meet than a stricter European classification, and that keeping it as an option in England and Wales allowed combustible materials to be installed on thousands of buildings. The findings fed into a review of technical standards used by building designers to assess the safety of cladding.

What do you think all the delay is about? It’s so the elite and rich who have fingers in the construction/cladding cover up can cover their tracks. Same happened with Hillsborough/Thalidomide. In fact look at any major incident in UK that harmed many and it fits the same profile.

DanKaszeta of course they knew

Well, yeah, that’ll happen when a government approves a cladding manufacturer as the safety tester of cladding to decide regulation on fire safety, won’t it?

This is SO horrible!

Put the blame where it belongs, the company that offered the option of an aluminium cladding with a combustible filling! Surely Corporate Manslaughter at least.
