Richard_D_Boyle Of course he can’t. When they made a big deal of ‘requiring the DPP consults the minister before prosecuting’, it was obviously just perception management - wasn’t actually going to stop journalists being pursued for uncovering wrongdoing. The sad thing was how well it worked!

That was a beautiful thing to hear.

As much as current journalism infuriates me this is a big no no.

Can he guarantee he wont paw their underwear at the very least?

The decision to charge a journalist at the wim of a politician. Dangerous and unacceptable, it undermines democracy.

Seriously concerned how so many people who want to silence critics and free press are getting into these high offices.
