So much respect , others countries follow her lead ,and make our world a better place .

Must be nice to live in a country with a real leader. As an American, I've forgotten how that feels.

Because terrorists get weapons legally... 🙄

World's peace awards for jacinda the prime minister of New Zealand

An impressive act of leadership. It may be undemocratic, but national security needs firm decisions, whether it’s dealing with nazis or jihadi and their sympathisers. Stopping suicide methods is another challenge that requires dealing with the mind, not a lump of metal.

As usual the socialist dictators who create the problems never miss a beat to create laws🙄🙄🙄

Horse and barn come to mind. Still nothing like a knee-jerk.

It will help NOTHING. One more panic-left-politician NZ USA EU

That's the right decision to do, not to turn New Zealand into miniature USA overflown with the gun violence!

Does she understand that 'military-style' just means matte-black or matte-silver finish? Whoa whoa wait, so a tragedy happens in this country, and their government doesn’t wait 7 years (it’s been 7 years since sandy hook) without passing legislation to prevent future similar tragedies!? New Zealand bans 'military-style' semi-automatic weapons after mosque terror attackThe ban effectively comes into force immediately - six days after the massacre - and a buy-back scheme will compensate owners. Why any country needs to have these weapons available to civilians in the first place baffles me. I was very suprised to see that New Zealand has such gun laws. Anyone can buy a gun legally. The USA has more control? And behind you sale weapons to Arabia.
