A zoo in China has been accused of trying to pass off a Rottweiler as a wolf after it was spotted alone in the enclosure.
He later told Beijing News that zookeepers had said the original wolf in the enclosure had died of old age. The footage has also sparked concern over how well the animals are being cared for, with admission to the site only costing the equivalent of £1.70.The worker also noted that the zoo ‘didn’t have enough visitors to keep the zoo up and running well’,Animal rights activists have been repeatedly critical of China’s zoos over the years.
