Use the word of hearingimpairment is offensive. Please use the deaf, which is widely acceptable for everyone now.

As a child a babysitter taught me some basic sign language .I believe it should be taught from nursery school, I mean signs not the alphabet lol, kids minds are like sponges. By year 7 I believe many would keep it on. Assembly? 30 mins x2 a week?

This is far more beneficial to any child than Irish language or Ulster Scots
