Newly elected Tory councillor is forced to quit over racist retweetsMarco Lorenzini (pictured) quit his role as Conservative councillor for the Bush Fair seat for Harlow Council in Essex over his allegedly racist retweets. I thought he was Scottish though? Can't you guys get your story straight? Everyone is entitled to their views, whether or not you agree with them (free speech). The Tory councillor should not have resigned. The youngster (Dr Who) is an unusual choice (clothing & dyed white hair), but good luck to him. I hope the new Dr will be an outstanding success. The Tories have been hijacked by the far right. It's a disgusting party.

Michael Gove puts ‘beauty’ before Tory manifesto housing targetsLevelling Up Secretary acknowledges goals will not be met in 2022 but stresses importance of building the right sort of homes Are govt pushing to concrete over swathes of UK countryside or opting to plant trees and conserve it? Confusing, which is it? He's right. No one is proud of living in a 1970s high rise block of flats, whereas a Victorian mansion block has a great deal of charm.
