DebbieRyanRadio Great idea. These publications create useless gossip.

Those magazines are toxic which is why I haven’t bought one in over 15 year . They are full of lies and promoting toxic ideas , celeb world thee whole worshipping thing makes me sick to my stomach .

Please as you remove gossip magazines and replace them with travel magazines etc, please include the good news bible as well.

Such a good idea!

Enough now

So removing them and replacing them with books and different genres of mags (cookery, home decor etc) changed the tone of their conversations. Simple really.

This all stemmed from an Irish hairdresser saying he removed the glossy gossip mags 2 years ago because he was sick of the toxic atmosphere it was creating amongst his clients and staff. What they were reading whilst sitting in the chair was dictating their conversations.

If they could also boycott newspapers that would help considerably

matthaig1 Hallelujah.

This is great to read. This is also great to read: PositiveNewsUK

Shame this idea is being shamed. Sure people buy them. But if lots of organisations with magazines in waiting rooms followed suit, leading by example, could really make a difference.

katsandcrows A small but no less important step. Bravo to all those boycotting.

Another good idea here would be to evolve as a civilization and stop caring about other people’s lives? How about we go on and live our own little lives?

This article seems to view gossip magazines as entities that are entirely separate from their readership - a commodity that has an almost unstoppable supply but a complete absence of demand. They were toxic a month ago, but everybody was good with it until they felt implicated.

What a pointless exercise

Bravo! Thank you for this story ~ from USA.

That's fabulous. Can they also BoycottMurdoch 'news' papers and mags too? 😁 Here is a list

Editorial: Restraint is what is needed from the media over the death of Caroline FlackEditorial: It is a time to reflect on whether news outlets have erred on the side of excess, even given the intense public interest This should have been in force before Caroline took her life this should be considered an offence and there are people in the CPS and the media who should be held to account because basically they killed her disgusting lowlifes All the media have to do is report real news not the fake shit they spit out at the moment.

I've had suicidal thoughts – here's why the Caroline Flack news is especially hardFor anyone who has had thoughts of taking their own life, the news coverage of a suicide can open a window into the past Why do so many ‘friends’ of CarolineFlack keep giving interviews to the media etc about how “troubled” she was? If she was so troubled, maybe they should have tried to help her when she was alive, instead of making money sharing her personal demons now she is not.
