Brit man injured after being ran over by a speedboat propeller in 'millionaire's marina' on Spanish coast

A BRITISH man has suffered serious injuries after being run over by the propeller of a speedboat in 'millionaire's marina' on the Spanish coast.

The boat cut through the 60-year-old’s right thigh near his genital area just after 4pm on Thursday in the holiday resort of Majorca.A British man was run over by the propeller of a speedboat just off Puerto Portals 'millionaire's marina'He was rushed to Son Espases Hospital in the island capital Majorca after being brought to shore and stabilised at the scene.Hospital officials could not be immediately reached on Friday to comment on his condition.

A spokesman for the Civil Guard, which is probing the incident, said the boat involved in the incident was a rented vessel and the skipper had stopped and had been fully identified.Coastguard officials were involved in the operation to help the Brit reach dry land and he received emergency medical attention in the port before being taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Last July two German tourists were badly injured after a boat ran over them off the virgin beach of Es Trenc in Majorca, where holidaymakers had to beOne, a 20-year-old, had his arm amputated and the other, a 26-year-old, lost a leg.
