Many DJs lose audiences as the ratings body unveils the first figures under a new measurement system.

Many breakfast radio shows now have smaller audiences than before the pandemic, according to new figures.

But industry body Rajar urged caution when making comparisons because it is also measuring audiences in new ways. Some breakfast DJs, such as Radio X's Chris Moyles, appear to have bucked the downward trend for breakfast shows; while radio listening in general has increased slightly and many stations improved their overall reach.

No one stuck in their cars to listen..it's a bit obvious why

Sorry but terrible! It isn't, amazing, lovely, and doesn't make me so emotional i could cry. It's just terrible. Afraid she should be removed

People realised how bad her show was when not having to drive too?

To be fair probably not just the pandemic that caused the drop in listeners 🤷🏻‍♂️

Cant blame Zoe Ball. Zoe hardly hosts the show.

Station needs a serious revamp sack Wright, Ball, Vine, Whiley, Winkleman, Nelson, Borg, Feltz there all over paid, poor presenters love sound of own voice and self importance.

Sick of hearing the word'amazing' whenever you talk to a celebrity about anything

But Internet Radio stations gained listeners, why?

People switched their radio alarms off because there was no need to get up at a certain time. (Well, other than keeping your circadian rhythm.)

In some cases, as illustrated by the attached image and notably in the case of the jingoistic Scottish Breakfast Show Presenter, the fall in viewers would be due to the BBC choice of Presenter!

Everyone moving to talkRadio and GB News Go woke, go broke!

Zoe Ball show has gone down in listeners and Chris Moyles (radio x) show has gone up in listeners. BBC blame the pandemic……. Really.
