BORIS JOHNSON'S proposed post-Brexit immigration rules could see thousands of foreign troops banned from joining the British Army, a former commander of British forces in Afghanistan has warned.

The British Army is desperately short of recruits and anything the Government does to make the job of recruitment more difficult is absurdColonel Kemp told Mirror Online: “Commonwealth troops have played an extremely valuable role in the armed forces.
