Boris Johnson is not lying to himself. The ‘lying to self’ thing is only needed if the person experiences discomfort or dissonance. Johnson is intensely relaxed about telling lies. I think he is more likely to experience ‘duping delight’ as many of those lies come pouring out.

Unfortunately the DUP/UDA ignored all warnings and the majority of the electorate in the 6 counties to fully support Johnston and the Tories. The have to take responsibility for their actions.
There is a real possibility that the UK splits up in the next ten years. I’m a mind my business though.
